Hi, i want to create a program that reads a .wav file and performs a FT.

In steps, the program needs to:

1)Read a .wav file

2)Find which frequencies the sound contains

3)Find the amplitude and phase of these frequencies

4)Display the data

Questions:

1)How can i read a .wav file?

2)If i read a .wav file, how can i extract the frequencies it contains?Are they stored values in the .wav's data?Same about phase.

I'm pretty lost with this project so any help will be valuable...
